Color Strata was inspired by the strata lines in stones.  I love love the lines that alcohol inks create, they are so delicate, pretty, organic and flowing, similar to nature.  I added leaves to complement the feeling that this is our beautiful earth beneath our feet.  The gold and depth was difficult to photograph, this painting has so much more depth in real life.  There is also a little bit of glitter in the resin to create an even more magical world.
